I am sure there is at least one extremely important member of the Medici family who spends at least 10 minutes of each episode being in conflict with his genderfluid non binary identity and gets baggered by the negro carpet salesman.

They had two Borgia series: Borgia with John Doman and The Borgias with Jeremy Irons.

Actually, actors are mostly british... obviously they don't look like the actual historical characters. A bit like happened with other historical shows like Caterina Sforza in The Borgia played by another british actress (Gina McKee) and Joan of Castile played by an Austrian actress (Miriam Stein) in another Borgia show.

Not really my fav historical period but the show isn't bad, personally i'm glad to see Sean Bean in the cast.

No but apparently the Medici were attacked by the Pazzi on a Sabbath.
