Got an invite from Frigga's Spindle (have no clue what her screen i.d. is here!) over at Odinist.net.
I am an old, cranky Irish (okay, part of the family was from Scotland :p and one ancestor was a lonely Swede that some how ended up wandering to Scotland and marrying into the family) redheaded, chubby broad.
Mother of seven. (All grown --YIPPPPEEEEE!)

Getting ready to get married again...Number 4. Have no clue why these fellas keep asking me...I just make their lives miserable.:p
I think this one has a chance...he's a redhead, too! (and comes from stubborn Norwegian and fiery Irish stock)

Anyway, I perused the site (what I could see of it) before I joined.:thumbs up

I have bailed on about 6 forums this year because of idiocy...looks like you don't have too many of them here!:D

So here I am....HI Y'ALL!:wavey001:

Welcome Gwynyvyr.

I hope you enjoy your stay.

I'm looking forward to your interesting twists (fantastic sense of humour) on daily life and all things on preparedness and homesteading. Here's hoping that the hurricane season is a quiet one this year.

Aemma, myself (ktel) and Solwyn are hanging out here.

Check out the Heathen Portal, too.

Cheers.

Hey Hey Gwynyvyr--another wonderful and fun-loving O.net spitfire! ;)

Frigga's Spindle told me she had invited ya! I'm glad you came over. :)

Do make yourself comfy, poke around and jump right in! I think you'll like it here. :)

Say, how did things turn out with that Yule wedding coffer for your betrothed btw? That would be a really cool post, complete with pics of course. ;)

Cheers and have fun here Gwyn!...Aemma

THERE you are, Frigga's Spindle!:)

Yes, I made it and I have a complaint for you...I ended up reading on this site until after 3:00am and so will be useless for anything unless I can get a nap in today! I am currently alive only because of caffeine...:coffee: (had to use the coffee smiley, but I drink Dr Pepper in the mornings!)

My sincere thanks for a warm welcome to all.
Especially to Absinthe.
I am assuming "You sound like a pleasant person" is the Greek translation for "oh dear god, I can't believe that crazy b*tch joined up!"...no, wait...she doesn't know me yet...:D

Aemma, the wedding coffer turned out lovely! The darlin' man has the chest and quilt, the ring is being re-sized, he loved Teuf's work, adores the cup and appreciated the other items as well. As soon as I get organized (yeah, right...) Okay, as soon as I get semi-organized, I'll throw some pictures up.

Y'all that know me HAVE warned everybody else...right?

:ranger:I know the feeling. Caffeine does seem to have the very same effect on me- I sometimes just spend most of the night here and use a lot of caffeine to stay up during the day. So how's life out in Texas ?

Where I am in Texas basically sucks, but I'm a cheerful person and can muddle through it undeterred. Planning on moving to Vermont in the future...I have goals!

Now...How dare you wave a cake in front of a chubby girl on a continual diet!

Judging from your sense of humor...my son's mother enjoyed a hearty chuckle
over this amphibolous signature-quotation:
"That man that hath a tongue, I say is no man,
If with his tongue he cannot win a woman."
The Two Gentlemen of Verona (III, i, 104-105)
