Why east? Because east Sicily is usually closer to Crete?

I'll give other hints: Dodecad K12b can model them as half Ashkenazi half German, and also as 60% German, 40% Cypriot.

What is funny about this is, it requires half North European to get the person's other half, to being like the NW Greece sample. That means that we tend to underestimate how "north" the Balkans is genetically.
