Some authors assume Corded was just Mediterranid.

*Irano-Afghan type (and Corded has most likely an Eastern CM input too), Gracile Mediterraneanids have different skulls and other traits (like height).

It can be even seen in your picture: first is Corded, second is Irano-Aghan, last is Gracile Med

Some authors argue that around 43% of Bronze Age Steppe (Yamnaya) genetics is Iran Chalcolithic in origin, but they aren't the most accepted.

In terms of morphology East Nordid is the closest to the Corded ware Peoples than any other modern type.

However, just because it is closest does not mean it is identical.

Trønder also has a corded element but that is not predominant.

East Nordic is predominately Corded.

True Corded is Germano-Turkic. Look at Oghurs.

Do Corded and iranid have similar origins?

Hard to say. But what anthropologists called Iranid is concentrated among Turks, Azerbaijanis and Turkmens. So, Carleton Coon was right when declaring Corded type as Altaic-speakers. But most likely it was Germano-Oghuric. Steppe people.

Makes sense, corded look like iranid+tronder

They are mostly used as synonyms, yes.
Some say East Nordid is Corded + reduced (balticized) CM. However, for this one you've got the Aisto-Nordid/Baltic Tronder terms already (of course, pure Tronders are also found in the Baltic region).
I prefer the Corded term and use it more often for two reasons:
- it illustrates the origins of the type associated with the culture of the same name
- it isn't only found in Eastern Europe but in the west, too (a good number of Germans, Norwegians, Dutch and Brits belong to it, for example)
