Thanks to ph2ter for putting me on this.

On this particular plot, I plot in southwestern Germany. For the most part, it's pretty accurate.

"Alstrohma" is my 23andme V5 and "Alfred89" is my 23andme V3 conversion. As you can see they are basically in the same clusters, just spread out a bit.

Where do you plot? It's blurry.

It's consistent with all other calculators so I guess so. I don't plot between my parents in any PCA, I'm less continental shifted than both of them for some reason.

Big difference between your 23andme V3 and V5 positions, shows how dodgy the latter is.

I don't consider it a big difference at all, they are basically in the same clusters. On some other plots they are practically on top of each other.

From numerous comparisons the V3 seems to be more realistic. However, I use both to help paint a better picture.

It's surprising to me how much the French and Germans overlap tbh.

Yea. Parts of the french-east cluster that overlap make sense to me, due to alsace lorraine.

Capitalis at Anthrogenica made a few charts aswell

For these charts I omit low values because they're unstable (run the calculator again and they might not be there). That's why the charts don't go all the way to 100%.

Do you think this Global 25 is useful ? What are advantages to it over other algorithm ? I'm thinking to try it out but not sure is it worth the money (how much ? )

I guess I am in the Austrian plot with some French overlap.

Global 25 is better than any GEDmatch calculator, which is why the creator only uses it now. It's more recent, better tuned and the samples are more recent (which means the technologies used to analyse and process the data are more precise). Besides you can use nmonte do create your own models, something much more powerful than the old Oracle

Thank you. is it expensive and how do I get it, by sending him my raw data ?

It's 12USD, just send the money via PayPay and email him your raw data (I advise leaving a small note on the PayPal so he knows which person you are).
I did that for my missus just 10 minutes ago :)

It's useful and worth the money. You can use the coordinates he gives you for nMonte, which allows you to compare yourself to modern and ancient populations. You can also use them for his and other peoples plots.

He has a few other plots that cost about $6 each where he plots you using your raw data as well.

I forgot to add that you can use poi's webtool nMonte with your G25 coordinates to make any K4 models you might want to try (the G25 dataset is present) if you don't know how to use nMonte in R - which I don't. You can become a sponsor to help keep the server working and get more flexibility using the webtool.

Which is the E-mail to send the Raw and to pay via PayPal???
Does it accept FTDNA Raw???
I have got 23andme too, but just chip version 5 and it's a little controversial. Even in that case I could convert, IDK...
I am very ansious to do this test, but I imagine in the map probably I don't appear in a good position because I am too western too.
Thank you! ;)

Davidski accepts rawdata from both FTDNA and 23andme. Both are fine, but FTDNA will probably give you better fits
