Sick Around the World

"Sick around the World" examines how 5 capitalist democracies (United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, and Switzerland deliver health care. Comparisons are drawn between the U.S. and these countries.

It is clear that the reporter here is not neutral in his beliefs about universal health care. Therefore, the video should be taken with a grain of salt. This is why students will also need to watch John Stossel's "Sick in America" to see a different viewpoint.
What is interesting is the vast difference across health care systems around the world. It is clear that one size does not fit all. Even the universal health care plans discussed all vary tremendously in how they are managed.
