Rhodes(2) and Kythnos(6) look kinda Blakan, Naxos one(5) screams "με πατάτα τάισα το μισό Αιγαίο"

Last one looks like Marios Athanasiou, #9 looks like Al di Meola. Some look Balkan (2,3,6,8), although Sikeliot will deny this.

Dinarids, Pontids, Anatolids, Atlanto-Meds, Alpines and one Noric I think.

They actually look more mainland Greek rather than what I think of as islanders. These don't look much like southern Italians either, not compared to the thread with Rhodians posted earlier.

That is the point I wanted to make by posting them.
The gap in phenotypes between Greek islanders and mainlanders is not that big as it is portrayed in this forum.
Yes there are differences, but they are subtle.

Secondly the connection of phenotypes between Greek Islanders and Sicilians is not very valid IMO.
It may be partially supported by genetic results but real world experience is different.
A Sicilian who shares common genetic results with a Greek Islander may actually look completely different from his Greek counter part.
At the same time a Sicilian who has different results with a Greek mainlander may actually look very similar to him.

Greek people should not be separated as "Sicilian looking" islanders and "Balkan looking" mainlanders. Greek islanders and mainlanders should be grouped together in to a single entity, because they look pretty much what they are, that is "Greek" .

It depends which islands. The distinction of "Sicilian looking" islanders versus Balkan mainlanders works best when comparing phenotypes of the more outlying islands like Dodecanese. It doesn't work with the Cyclades or North Aegean as easily because they probably have more mainland ancestry in the last 1000 years which bridges the gap.

There is some pseudo-Balkan in Dodecanese that it is also seen in Cypriots.

This coarse type of East-Aegean is also kinda interesting, my mother has it and it is also seen in Cyclades.

This type that Sikeliot may perceive as Balkan is often seen among Cretans, Cycladic-Minoan connection and 100% Psarotaverna.
