Alpines are rarely taller than 1.75. They can be taller, i think but it is not usual at all. And he doesn't only looks taller but darker and more slender like i said.
Even when alpines are taller( like borrebies), they still have tendencies to fatness.
Also, this guy woul probably be classfied as "berid" if he were Portuguese or Spanish lol for me he looks more Iberian

People over use the Alpine classification, pure Alpines average around 1.60, I was classified as Pure Alpine and I'm 1.88cm lmao. Even Richmond is way too tall for a pure Alpine.

True, most of the alpines in texbook plates were generaly around 1,60 or 1,65 indeed. Od course they can be taller now but probably not so much, i believe that alpines nowadays are genraly like 1,70, more or less

Pure alpines are a short, stocky build. You're of above average height and aren't stocky, your just an Atlantid + Alpine with a bit of excess chub (as your profile states).

Dunno, I live in Britain so there's not many pure Alpines around here so it's hard for me to judge. I think it's the most misunderstood and misused classification type. There's probably a lot in places like Northern Italy, Switzerland etc, but I think Alpine mixes are much more common.

If you look like an alpine but is way taller and have no recent alpines in the family, it may be cro-magnid instead, because alpines are just reduced CMs( maybe with some capelid influence), so maybe people confused alpine with CM in your case

Dinarids are suposed to be a mix of alpine+ancient mediterranid, maybe your facial similarity with alpines came from the dinarid and med side( i know that sounds strange but it is what some people says)

In my classification thread I had long hair covering my forehead which covered my sloped forehead, so I don't think that helped matters much.

LOL, I guess facial feature wise he is a bit like that guy actually, with more obvious med influence with his black hair and olive skin and his eye shape. My dad doesn't pass in any Slavic countries outside of the Balkans IMO, he passes in Greece better than say Poland or Ukraine.

The straight and high rooted nose and the lips are very similar. The eyes are similar too, the cartoons is just a bit exagerated, the face shape is similar too
