You add the Caucasus component to their European total and they arent nearly as exotic as you're trying to suggest Sik :)

Myheritage separates Caucasus/Anatolian as "West Asian". Basically West Asian = Caucasus, Middle Eastern = Levantine, and North African = Berber or North African Jewish.
Both what is called Caucasus and Middle Eastern here are likely post-Neolithic Caucasus and Levantine admixture, otherwise the Neolithic portion would land itself in either Italian or Greek. Greek seems to dominate over Italian for all but one of these people also.

Isnt the North African in Sicilians more Sepharidic or Carthaginian-like anyway? The last sample seems atypical compared to the first two.

Either which way I am not posting them to interpret them, just to share. It is clear the European ancestry (Italian, Greek, Sardinian) dominates, and the MENA is secondary.
Interestingly, only one of these -- the one with partial Trapanese ancestry -- shows any sign of Norman input.

It seems to be a mixture of Berber and Levantine, definitely not purely Berber (purely Berber input is more common into Iberia). North African Jews are a mixture of Levantine, Berber, and Western Jews from Spain so all of that is reflected there. Some of the Carthaginian input in far western Sicily gets proxied as North African Jewish probably.

So it's essentially a mish mash of different Med components from what I gather. Honestly, its nothing strange. It's to be expected from South Euros, particularly deep south Euros.

They look like a mixture of all parts of the Mediterranean with only small traces of North European, Scandinavian and Sub-Saharan.
