member NarLFC (SALUTE :D) gave me this kit number saying he is apparently "iraqi kurdish" . I dont know how true this is so I dont want to base my opinion on it yet BUT ....IF this is true then this supports my idea that some iraqi kurds are either mixed with arabs (or sometimes maybe even domaris) or are completely foreign people that got assimilated

Yeah the other Iraqi Kurd sample matches with other Kurds, Iranians and Azeris. This one was absolutely strange. Might've been heavily admixed?

I have seen other iraqi kurdish results and they were also very kurdish . there is an iraqi member on another forum who showed me his pics and he looked very normal kurdish and can also fit as turkey kurd. he posted pics of iraqi kurds who also looked very kurdish but a little different from us . BUT......on many other pics you find many iraqi kurds look different but I think many people who are on those pics could be either mixed or even another ethnicity

If you desperately want to look for a difference then eventually you will find one.
I seriously doubt Turkish Kurds from SE Turkey from Mardin, Seert, Sirnak, Hakkari etc are any different than Northern Iraqi Kurds from Duhok, Arbil or Rawanduz genetically speaking. The only outliers seem to be Kurds North and West of Lake Van. The Kurdish average of Gedmatch seems to be more representative of Kurds south of Lake Van.

I am a pure kurd too ....you can find my results too

not that our results are drastically different anyway . my point is that the kurdish samples on gedmatch are probably from rather southern/southeastern regions and probably not many are from turkey
