A Turkish volleyball player from Ankara. Can she pass in China or Japan?

Some Turks I personally know are very East Asia-looking like this. My aunt's brother is like this (and ironically my aunt looks Eastern European), and a friend from the college is like this. We call him Genghis Khan.

She looks like her ancestors preserved their genes without mixing with any locals after they entered Anatolia.

pardon me, but she doesn't look castiza to me, shes more like mestiza or even harniza. Castizos are off-white, almost passing for one, but still a bit off.

You will never find a woman in the mestizo spectrum who look like this girl. She looks distinctly mongolian/central asian I guess.

And they're for sure Turkish and not like migrants from Central Asia in the past century? Lol

Yea. At least the ones I know are not. I don't know about this girl but she probably is not as well.

I don't see why you are so surprised and think of it as impossible, Turkey is one of the most diverse countries by phenotypes, not only a certain types of phenotypes are native here. Obviously the Central Asian elements which are derived from Turkic people or Mongols who came to Anatolia in earlier history are higher in this girl. Anatolia was under Mongol rule at one point of the history.

There are very Celtic-looking people in Turkey too, and possibly related to Celtic peoples who had settled in Anatolia.

She is %100 Turkish, no question about it.

Am I the only one that thinks she looks clearly West Asian admixed? Just look at her Caucasoid nose. She'd pass in Transoxiana as typical, but I don't think she's pass in East Asia or Kazakhstan/Kyrgyzstan. She might have pass in Kazakhstan/Kyrgyzstan if I'm underestimating their Caucasoid influence, but she looks like a West Asian-East Asian mix with significantly more East Asian influence than most Anatolian Turks of course.

She looks central Asian, Uyghur or something. In Turkey there are recent central Asian imigrants, maybe she is one of them?

Anyway, she looks like real Turk.

Nah, as I explained, there are such people who are not necessarily modern immigrants. My aunt looks Eastern European while her brother looks Japanese (this is not an exaggeration). I have a friend who looks Mongol as well and he is not an immigrant. Turks carry some amount of Central Asian and Far Eastern genes which come dominant in some people's appearence.

She can pass as Uyghur in China but definitely not as an ethnic Chinese, for Mongolia/Inner Mongolia she can pass a-typically.

In which Turkish region people are most Mongolid shifted genetically and most Mongoloid/Central Asian influenced in physical appearance?

Are Yörüks most Mongolid/Central Asian shifted people in Turkey?

I don't think they are concentrated on a certain region. Phenotypes are scattered all around here.

Uzbek would be first guess, then Tajik, Turkmen, Azeri and Turk at the end.

to me she doesn't look Asian. if she does, then many Romanians look like this, maybe we have more Tatar/Cuman blood than we think.

she can pass in Romania instead.
