View Full Version : The Newest phylogeny of Y DNA Q
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5333174/
This study contains two important information.
1-)Y DNA Q formed at least 35,000 years ago,and immediately split to the branches of q1b(new name Q3) and Q1'2(paleo Amerind,ENA,Siberian).During ANS-ANE forming but before ANE-ENA mix.
2-)Q1b is completely western Eurasian. It wasn't involved in the ANE-ENA mix.It has nothing to do with Siberian and East Asian.

Interetsing my brother but also how you explain the brotherhood of Q and R

Probably Y DNA R as same age as Q.
We know that ANE-ANS formed 35.000 years ago,and Y DNA P1 main haplo of this.Oldest P1 was from Yana culture in modern kolyma basin. But their lineage extinct now.I think between 40.000-35.000 years ago in siberia P1 gave a lot line but all of them were extinct because LGM but R and Q survive, most likely in baikal lake and amur basin.Later Q1'2 mixed with ENA in the Amur River at 30.000 years ago and formed the paleo-amerind lineage. The Q3 and R remained in further west around lake baikal, and fell into the western Eurasian lineage.
