No wonder your family looks so strongly Southern European (you mentioned that people often tell them they don't look Jewish), you are much more European gentically than the average Jew. Is there anything in your family history that could explain these results?

Why are you so European? Aren't most Sephardis like 60% MENA - Morroccans even more so? Or is this just the way Living DNA classifies things (like 23andme saying Ashkenazis are 100% European)?

Living DNA usually is accurate. Some MENAs might get a lot of South Italian on Living DNA because South Italians are half levantine. But that's not the case as Iberians are the northernmost Southern Europeans with a lot of Celtic Ancestry (surprised I have 0% British).
Moroccan and Algerian Jews are usually 40% European, Ashkenazim usually 50%.
My family has some atypical phenotypes so I always told my father it's my maternal grandmother family that have more gentile Ancestry (and my great-aunts said they are from the converso in origins, who were much more mixed) because they look the most European (to the point they are the opposite to the jewish stereotype) but my father family have some Baskid and Dinarid tendencies as well. Not quite sure whats going on. I've seen Galician with 96% Iberian so their Iberian reference is accurate.

Yup. Atlas Mountains (50% North and 25% South) and 25% Casablanca.

Yea we tend to look South/West European (tho minority in my family do show strong levantine).
My only explanation is the recent converso ancestry, they have more Spanish blood.
I’m still 1/4 Judean which is respectable.

I'm surprised that you think LivingDNA is accurate. My father is from Turkey, mother from British Isles. It gave me 92% British Isles, 8% Turkey. Everyone's results I've seen from LivingDNA have been wrong.

I score relatively high basque and Iberian on k36 as well (14 for Iberian and 3 for Basque). I saw Portuguese with Similar values on k36.

Then you might have actual Iberian ancestry. European ancestry in fully Sephardic Jews is overwhelmingly Italian-like, they are generally almost indistinguishable from Ashkenazis.

Strange. Have you ever considered buying Global25? It might be very informative for you, they have Sephardic samples there.

Ftdna have Sephardic sample too and I’m 10% or something like that.. not sure why. I have sephardic relatives (4th cousins) with 90% lol.
I have more Iberian matches than jewish matches BTW.

2 of my great grandfathers didn’t know who their parents was so potentially both could be full gentiles in origin. I don’t know how likely it is. Phenotypically both were light and extremely tall (6’3 and 6’7) but it doesn’t mean anything.
