I remember him, he emailed me, hes apperntaly the King of Nigeria and offered me a business.
But in all seriousness, a DNA test doesnt seem to be so exiting for a sub saharan

What is the Subsaharan element that doesn't include the Archaic admixture based on? Ethiopians?

Yeah, Schwarzafrikaner are basically 95-100% SSA, except for Ethiopians, Eritreans, Somalis and some smaller peripheral groups. Hell, even their countries are mostly fake with artificial colonial borders.

Hausas and Fulani already start to show some Northern shift, since they are near the Sahel (and well, both are huge groups at all):

I think both are like a "Tuareg/SSA" mix or something like that.

Probably cause many SSA components are missing and a diverse number of genetic clusters are grouped together under the generic label "SSA". Sub-Saharan Africa is much more genetically diverse than Eurasia-North Africa.

I always thought this. I mean, it's like creating a simple "Europe" thing and that's it. Although ethiohelix have more options to explore this.

Yet most of them are just blacks and don't differ much in many ways when they are outside of their continent.

Yes, indeed those folks are racially mixed at least in a residual side.
Some of their ancestors accrossed the Sahel from the north.

Some commercial tests like 23andMe split Sub-Saharans into multiple populations.

Yup, although I always get Nigerian from my SSA. Well, makes sense since I'm almost sure I've Hausa background.

Not true at all. There's a lot of diversity in Africa. The SSA component in Gedmatch is about as useful and accurate as if there was a West Eurasian component for Europe. If Africa was broken down the way Europe is with a bunch of semi-BS components such as Baltic, Eastern Euro, North Sea, West Med etc we would see more diversity.

BTW, I think this generic "SSA" also undermine how much SSA you have in fact. It's like the "Amerindian". I understand that most Gedmatch tests have some proper White direction and therefore most things are made for this, but in fact both SSA and Amerindian sounds too simple for any specific analysis or even metrics. Well, that's just an opinion, anyway.

Hmmm, interesting. He's from South Nigeria but genetically is closer to a Hausa, not a Yoruba...but it's weird since at same time he's too far from a Fulani.
