Why can't they promote indian looking people in the industry? India's got to be the only country that hates itself and its phenotypes the most seriously. yeah she's not just west eurasian. she doesnt show indic at all. She might be sorta typical among dardic groups but i'm just saying that they have to choose people from that far to represent the "face" of india. Liek how many indians look like that. If many indians had such faces, then its ok. Even if its a preference for such phenotype, its still understandable that a decent portion of the country looks like that. There are some foreign actresses as well from iran, afghanistan, etc, some parsis who are in bollywood. Many people have no idea that they are foreign, rather most think they are indian. They should promote traditional indian beauty first rather than go out and "diversify".

tbh large enterprises go multinational so i dont think it is a bad thing (there should be people to people contacts in this is age of globalization) unless Lead actors mostly fall in South Asian range , which is mostly the cases most of time.

yes globalization makes sense and that explains regarding the actresses but whats with the backup dancers? Its more common to find white female backup dancers than indian female backup dancers in bollywood movies. The dance moves arent even that hard. they are fairly simple so its clearly not for talent those white backup dancers are recruited into the industry. And dressing isnt an issue with indian female dancers
