I'd imagine they are both using different techniques. LM genetics is averaging your nMonte (I think) and I'm not sure how that other one calculates it.

Mine were different but not THAT different. Both put me in Germany. One western and the other southern.

Mine were different but not THAT different. Both put me in Germany. One western and the other southern.

Yeah but Germany is a bigger country then both Greece and Bulgaria put together. In one test i'm placed north of Sofia, Bulgaria, and the other test placed in Thessaly, Greece. It's probably the same, or maybe slightly more of a difference then yours. If we go by kms.

Oh hold on. You got the LM test a while ago right? Well he only recently added this new map function. If you ask him, i think he may just give you this extra test for free.

I got the test again, but this time using my raw data from FTDNA. Not much difference. I still get north west Romania as my closest match.

It places me 117 km in north-east direction from the place where I am really from, in South-West Bulgaria although still in the geographic region of Macedonia!
