Does this point to a significant Scando input in the Isle of Man? It's one of the historical centers of Gaeldom.

44% of 11 people.

Just kidding. Many Manx families are descended from a small number of Scandinavian settlers (males). Many of the families are probably even descended from the same guy.

How is majority of I1 carriers ~40k people (given that Isle of Man has 85k or so)?

The Isle of Man!? According to the ftdna database.

These numbers are bullshit.

Hungary has 8,5% I1
Czechia has 7,5%
Russia has 5%
Austria has 12% etc etc

Is Serbia more nordic than Austria? :rotfl:

Interesting how it has a peak in Sanxhak, I'm guessing it is from the Drobnjak

I1 didn't show up in Lepenski Vir. In my opinion I1 arose somewhere in central Europe and expanded from there, though it seems that I1 was always an uncommon haplo even during periods such as the Mesolithic

The haplogroup I1 is nordic, proto germanic:

Most nordic countries:

1. Sweden
2. Denmark
3. Norway
4. Iceland
5. Finland

Map refers only on Serbs.
In southwestern Serbia there is high % of I1 due to Drobnjak settlers in the last 300 years. Almost all I1 in southwestern Serbia is P109 and came from Drobnjaks.
Except southwestern Serbia also Serbs from Dalmatia and Romanija area (eastern Bosnia) have high I1. In Romanija is as in southwestern Serbia due to Drobnjak settlers. Among Dalmatian Serbs exist Drobnjak and Macure branch of I1 in aproximately same level, plus some other branches in smaller %.

That % for Montenegro can not be real. In the Balkans Serbia has the highest I1.

There is more Drobnjaks in Serbia and among Krajina Serbs than in Montenegro. Plus Macure are fully part of Krajina Serbs and they have nothing to do with present day Montenegro in the last 600 years.

Man has links to the Viking kings of Dublin and sits between the trading town of York. It also was part of the Kingdom of Isles of Gaelic-Norse heritage linked to the hebridean Lords. Being an Island in the middle of major viking activty, there is a chance it could have strange y-dna as such.
