Crete was half Turkish until not so long ago. Greeks say they have historical claim on Cyprus although they are not from that region and invaded the Middle East why should Turkey not make same claims on Crete? I’m always thinking about this. Crete is geopolitical important for Turkey. In possible new war where the cards will be dealt again I would prefer Crete (descendants of Turkish cretans still survive, at least the ones who survived the genocide) reclaim their ancestral lands. I’m my view that location is more important than Salonica. Anyway war is terrible but nobody chooses for war. It is just a thought in case we end up in one.

Cypriots are really funny bunch once you get to know them .

Initially as an Anatolian Turk , you would be bit miffed about their behaviour .
