He has that classic Italian nose mouth combo. I would not have guessed it from the second picture though. Still not Slavic, I think German was a good guess.

I think he will turn out to be a Slavic looking italian because nafz is trying to stick it to me to prove Greeks aren't the only southerners who can pass as Slavs.

I have no idea I'm just being honest lol. That first picture looks really Italian to me. Second one again I would not have guessed it, German would have been my second choice.

No, that is not my point. He may be atypical for his ethnicity but he does not look Slavic either. Mr G and Marcos attested to this.

See the above photo of him. That is such a NE European look. He is one of the weirdest looking Sicilians I've seen, way more than the extreme Levantine types.

Sikeliot when I say I've lived amongst Southern Italians my whole life I am not kidding lol. This isn't surprising to me at all. I usually am very good at identifying Italians because 80% of my friends are Southern Italian lol I've seen all the phenotypes possible from that region

Atypical for Sicily yes. But I have seen other Italians from other areas with a similar look.

I think it is weird though because many *clearly* MENA looking Sicilians, you don't read as such, like this type.. so it works in both directions with you it seems.

Yeah don't see mena at all lol. At all. :dunno: most importantly I'm usually right though, because I've grown up with them and seen the variety of phenotypes that exist from that particular region. I wouldn't expect everyone to feel that way, simply due to lack of exposure. It's really weird seeing people's opinions on here :lol:

He actually looks like a dark Greek, moreso than Italian. I don't think I'd have guessed Sicilian. For sure could pass in West Asia though, him I agree. Very atypical.
She could pass as Calabrese, but most lighter types have the stereotypical nose which she doesn't have, which makes her more flexible around Western Europe, phenotypically

Ehh maybe. Most Pontic Greeks aren't nearly as dark though even. I can't put my finger on him.
She looks like my friends mom, is there another photo of her? She has a bit of an 'exotic' element to her but could be the styling of the photo

He does look like some Italians I’ve seen but I usually consider them the more north euro looking type , woudnt guess it personally and it’s not because he looks Slavic but hey it happens . southern Italians / Sicilians can look Irish often

Not really , when I made my Sicilian threads each time it was pretty easy for me to find some north European types . Not saying they look Irish as a whole , just a easy find like not extremely atypical

Not like Irish. More like French or south German.
I would say the number of Sicilians who look Irish is close to the number of Greeks who look Russian. Very few.

Threads and posts in which people (not moved by the same agenda) post normal Sicilians who look fully Europeans are usually followed by 100 other threads with cherrypicked photos and results of “exotic” Sicilians. Ahaha
