I had Davidski do my 23andme and ancestrydna samples. Seems my 23andme data is more typical, with my ancestrydna data being atypically western according to Davidski. Here are some of my results.

I'm only 30% English so I can't do a perfect mix, but it's pretty close. This is on 0.001, when I do 0 I get 50/50. When compared with Hrvat (way off percent wise).

I can't really say for sure. 23andme data seems to have my paternal side plotting closer to Serbian Serbs and Montenegrins hence why I plot so far to the east, ancestrydna has it plotting closer to Bosnians. I'd have to actually get him tested to see which is more accurate. Based purely on phenotype I'd guess the 23andme data since he looks very Balkanic and is highly med influenced. Davidski seemed to think my ancestrydna data was atypical also. I plot roughly around Austria with both as you can see, though the 23andme data puts me quite a bit to the east. The functions and logic of the online tool is the same as running nMonte the orignal way. I've spoken to the creator. If everything is run the same, the results should be the same or with small differences. Nothing major though.

I've messed around with both. No need to go through the pain of running nMonte on your computer, when you can simply use this tool on your phone.

That's true if you donate tho, you can only get 200 cycles if you use the free version, where as I've been told you need 1000 cycles for more accuracy. You gotta be a level 4 donator for 1000 cycles, it's like 40 dollars or sumin.

It doesn't make much of a difference. The general picture remains the same. The distances may vary and the percentages but it's by small amounts. They vary anway because it's a computer program, so each time you run it your distances and percentages will change small amounts, no matter which method you use.


I'm only saying this because the online tool makes things much easier. No saving files, downloading programs or even need of a computer.
