So basically they can be modeled as 7/8 Sicilian, 1/8 Russian which places them squarely between Sicily/Crete/Dodecanese, and north Greeks.

They are more or less identical to Maniots.

Central Greece includes some Aegean Islands from what i know.

But the fact that many Maniots and also other Mainlanders get it in their closest 5 shows then basicly that Mainland Greek and Island populations have to share
significant common ancestry probably ancient and are not two distinct groups of people of their own who are only related by language.

I think it is a mixture of Athens, Cyclades, Sporades and North Aegean or at least 3 of the 4.

Pontic Greeks score extremely high East Med. So anyone with lower East Med than usual, would definitely not have Anatolian ancestry

Calabrians and Sicilians are not a different ethnic group from other Italians. No one in Italy believe those rubbish theories.
