does ancestry even work for holidays ? my sample went into final step of processing (dna analysis) on dec 21, when can i finally expect results ? lot of delays and failed tests , quite anxious about it

Which test have you done? You said you were getting Y dna, but here you're saying ancestrydna? And you should have your results within the next day or two.

i was said y dna can be extracted from ancestry autosomal test.right ?

Yeah. 23andme is superior because you at least get an accurate basic Y dna and MTdna, the ethnic breakdown is also superior to ancestry. But yes you can upload the ancestrydna data to Morley, takes like 30 seconds and you'll get your Y dna, you won't get a precise subdladeclade or anything, you'd need to do an in-depth Y dna test for that, but you'll know whether you're E1b, I2-D, J2, etc

yeap, thanks. is test failure common with ancestry ? on their forums many people complain because their tests failed and they needed to re-test. that would suck

If you're at the final stage I'd be surprised if your test failed, it usually fails earlier than that, I was at the final stage for 3-4 days.

should get results before jan 10, that's max late i will receive results i guess. because my dna was extracted on dec 21, but predicted date for that was jan 7. what do you think ?

That's weird. When I did ancestrydna I never had estimated dates like you do, must be a new feature. Maybe people have taken Christmas break? lol.
