They are not realy similar but similar in the sense

that both kinda look not that exotic or distinct compared to Europeans

Though i'm not sure if this one could be considered Slavic looking

He doesn't strike me for Cypriot there is something about his eyes and face i don't find so typical for Cyprus

He looks rather a bit Pontid but with something Middle Eastern attached to it that makes him look different
from Slavs for example

He might fit as a Eastern type of Jew or somewhere in Italy
