To me, genetic evidence actually suggests they are more like very, very extreme outlying Sicilians/Calabrians or Dodecanese, more so than Levantine, or at the very least intermediate.
I take back what I said about them being Hellenized Levantines, despite them not having much to do with mainland Greeks genetically either.

Your chirpy voice ought to shudder when you speak of the people of the great Kubruz Kaghan.
The only Turkish Cypriots with Northern ancestry are the children of Russian prostitutes who work in the Casinos.

True. Except for the descendants of Anatolian Turks who moved to Cyprus after the illegal Turkish invasion of the island, Turkish Cypriots are genetically identical to their Greek Cypriot counterparts.

Anatolian Turks who migrated to the island after the Turkish invasion must also have northern ancestry.
But native cypriot turks apperantly just turkish speaking greek cypriot.

Actually, it is very convenient that this topic was brought up because I have actually made a PCA of GC and TC individuals. Should be interesting to see.

When Ottomans got the island, Many Turks from parts of Anatolia and especially from Northen Bulgaria and Romania(Dobruca) were forcefully mlgrated to the south in the Cyprus and became the part of Turkish Cypriots

I consider Cyprotes fully European, staple and forefathers of European Civilization.
I completely disagree with Indo-European ancestry of Hellenic Civilization, that's a fairytale invented by Germanic peoples.
I fully Believe that Hellenic and Proto-European (Roman) civilization emerged from Sumerian and Assyrian people 6-7k years ago (Who are not Semites btw) , that makes Cyprotes more Greek than Italians or Illyrians or Thracians.

Novel idea but doesn't explain the dominance of Indo-European languages
