Brand new results of my daughter. Just today were ready. I can't download raw data yet, so only FTDNA. Apparently 6% Asia Minor and 2% Scandinavia is from my wife side (not tested yet). I don't have any of those admixtures in FTDNA.

In her case it isn't false similarity. Her father has ancestry from rural area near Zamosc (mother, Pole) and from Lvov (father, Pole). She desn't remember exactly but it was told also about some more southern locations in Ukrainian Carpathians. And it is rumour about some Swedish (I guess form Deluge) ancestor and daughter has 2% Scandinavian in trace results.
Wife mother is from Kuyavia and Wielkopolska although.

I have seen Poles scoring up to 30-40% South European in DNA Land, but it was mostly Balkan (not South/Central), and those were South-Eastern Poles.

Maybe Balkan + NW / SW Euro (your wife should have it if she is partially from Cuiavia and Wielkopolska) was conflated and reported as South/Central Euro.

IIRC their South/Central is based on North Italians.

Interesting. I got 11% Asian Minor on FTDNA which I didn't get on other test. It also gave me only 23% British Isles when I know I'm at least 50% Irish. This test seem to be the most inaccurate of all the tests I took. It's way off on a number of levels.

I uploaded to FTDNA with Ancestry data as well. If you move my Asia Minor to SE Europe it is actually a good result for me.

I think I saw somebody's results who had uploaded data and then later submitted a sample to MyHeritage. If I remember correctly their results ended up being very similar but not identical to the upload.

Ftdna data is good for use on Gedmatch, calcs etc. But not any better than Ancestry.

If somebody want to test more deeply his haplogroups also the best option (BIG Y etc).

I did phasing using my daughter ad mine kits. My wife (phased) appears straight Balkanite:) There is non-euro noise as in every phased kit.




I'm tired right now, but my results are not similar to average of 4 GP either, f.e. i score more West-Asian than either of them, so phasing is not really the best way to go.
