Sturmgewehr's K13 and K15 Results!

[Sturmgewehr]

These Results as far as I am concerned make very little sense.
Why do I think this?

My 23andMe results show high matching with Greeks, macedonians, Albanians, Romanians in the Balkans.

23&Me tells me they identified an 100% Italian ancestor who dates back to 1800s and an Ashkenazi who dates back to mid 1700s, however the percentage of Italian was 0.6 and the percentage of Ashkenazi was 0.2, now this makes me think how do these 23andMe results relate to the Eurogenes K13 and Eurogenes EUtest V2 K15.

I think 23&Me and Eurogenes K13 are contradicting each other especially with the ORACLE4 regression, the oracle 3 and oracle 4 put a lot of weight on the Ashkenazi element and what is even more surprising, I get no Albanian WHATSOEVER which is literally impossible in my case, however the Eurogenes K15 seems to be more precise and I went back to the authors page he seems to also think that K15 is better than K13.

K13 in my case seems to be pretty sloppy, it does just not only not show any Albanian in the Oracle3 and Oracle4 regression but also tells me I got 25% Erzya and Sardinian, the Uralic Erzya just blew my fucking mind.
Also I guess I am more Lithuanian than anything else.

I get some Albanian here and there but I get more Hungarian and Finish in Oracle 4 than Abanian, pretty fucking weird.

The Erzya are not Siberian, they're Easternmost European so to speak. Only about 8-10% Siberian/mongoloid. Basically like Northeast Russians.

Your results are weird because those calcs have no Albanian reference but yeah, for some people they're simply inaccurate and misleading.

My results seem to be totally hit and miss, the 23 and Me seem to be more accurate from what I know.

I am willing to accept the Ashkenazi even though I have never heard of it in my family nor have I ever heard of anyone of Ashkenazi origin where I come from but lets say I got it, in the end Ashkenazis are Europeans and been here for over 2000 years so my ancestors have caught it on the way.

You aren't. It's just that a person who's 2/3 Ashkenazi and 1/3 Ukrainian would have nearly the exact same genetic picture as you do. It's just like how I get estimated as around 50% Romanian + 50% Moldovan and someone like Mortimer gets like 75% Greek + 25% Punjabi. That's how these oracles work.

Also, the fact that k13 and k15 don't have Albanian as a referrence population makes things more confusing and forces the calculator to compare you to the closest population - Thessalian Greeks.

In my estimation it is giving you the small contribution from Erzya to balance out your mix, it's just suggesting a possible solution to your scores. You are a mix of high Med and higher than usual Baltic for your ethnicity (or so I gather from others who know better than me) and the Oracles are just trying to make sense of that dichotomy.

Yeah that is how it seems even though I think that is not real Greek and most of it is due to the Aromanian/Vllach element, the regions I seem to score close matches are regions which used to be and are inhabited by Vllachs and assimilated Vllachs.

Bitola, it is the second biggest city in Macedonia, south West Macedonia, 10-15km away from the Greek border.

However unlike many Albanians from that place my family moved to that region in mid 1800s, 6-7 generations ago as I have been told by my grandfather.
My father's side come from the Devolli Region which is located in South Central Albania.
My mother's side come from the Erseka region which is located in South eastern Albania.
Both regions are famous for their siginificant Vllach population, Southern Albania especially the city of Moskopolis used to be the capital of Aromanians in the middle ages.
Also my family from both sides are Tosk Albanians and not just that they speak a weird Tosk dialect which resembles the dialect spoken by people in Bilisht Town in Albania, also by the words my grandfather used and the way he spoke Albanian, he used many Vllach Slangs which are not really typical for Tosk Albanians.

K13 and K15 are weak sauce and not very good for admixed populations.
Can't speak to homogeneous populations, but for admixed populations MDLP K16 Modern is better.
In particular K15 is poor at accurately assigning Ashkenazi ancestry.
They overestimate Ashkenazi in South/Central Italians and Greeks and in reverse for Ashkenazim.

One thing one could see from K 15 is that Ashkenazi Jews according to that test are far more heterogeneous than most "educated" people are willing to admit.
