That's because of the fact that some Pontians look like, either as:

a) Caucasian/Georgian (Lazica connection), and/or,
b) Ukranian (Azov-Crimean connection),

and not Armenian or Levantene or Turkish like you seem to think.

So, in a way, some Pontian looks (not Med) would definitely overlap with Slavic looks due to (b).
