A man whose music and persona I have grown up with - literally! Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of information about his heritage, but I remember reading that his mother's background is Irish, and his father English.

It seems to me that the older he gets, the more Irish he looks. The only time I ever saw him was in concert in Philadelphia in 1975 on the Physical Graffiti Tour.

I was going to ask if anyone would try giving Page another go at classification? I have no idea how to classify people. Page has always been a bit of an enigma to me and I have always wondered where his true roots lay. You must admit, he has a very unique face. In a slight way he reminds me of Geert Wilder's characteristics.

I believe his mother was 1/4 Chinese. I could be wrong, though. It's interesting how the oriental becomes more prominent as he ages. Other than that, I agree that he has a KN element + UP.

He looks Borreby with minor Sinid/Keltid/Faelid admixture. Probably from his 1/8 Chinese ancestry. In rare cases, traits can even become apparent at 1/16, 1/32 or even 1/64 admixture. I know a friend who looks exactly like his great-great uncle that is about 1/16 of their genome in common.

Maybe God is an 1/8th Chinese. :D But seriously I think he may just be an over-borealised/infantilised Borreby from the British Isles. Generally, when some British Islanders age they can sometimes look East Asian/Asian, because of hanging eye lids, sagging skin etc. It's best to look at pictures when some people are in their 20's. I have some English/Old Stock relatives that looked Asian in their 60's-80's, but pictures from when they were in their 20's they look like Normal British Islanders. Jimmy Page looked Normal in this picture when he was younger.

I thought he always looked normal back in the day. Now of course he looks part Asian...

That's exactly it. Irish aging is quite peculiar and striking.
It's happening with my mother, who's only 1/4 Irish. More and more like some Agnes or Bernardette every year, much to her chagrin!

My personal novice opinion? I would like to see some evidence supporting the suggested Chinese ancestry. He could very well be, but there are also logical arguments supporting his Irish ancestry.

I know this thread is quite old but I just want to confirm that Jimmy Page has no Asian ancestry. His ancestry is English and Irish. His Irish ancestry is from his mother Patricia Gaffikin.

I think he looks a lot like Irish guitar legend Rory Gallagher. They could be brothers.
