Now Osweo is not the only one with a tiny spec of Skræling in his genome :D

What has changed since the first and second?

Difference is the world map and the small Amerindian segment.

These are indicative of all-Euro ancestry. As explained above, the S. Asian numbers refer to long-ago mixing, not anything recent. The negative Mideast number is significant: it seems to be indicative of people living near the shores of the Baltic

He also stated that the negative mideast could be from distant Finnish or Saami ancestry.

You are a tough case. Please note that quite a bit of "tuning" of the program has
been done using you as a standard. So in a sense it is not "reporting"
on you.

Your spot on the map is on the Lithunian-Poland border. Note that this version
of the program has lost ALL Scandinavian samples, so nobody can get much farther
north than you. I am awaiting v3 data for real Finns, its coming.

* I also think he is tired of all my questions... :p

I have some Skraeling in mine too.

And a dot on the Americas:

But Central America makes no sense.

I've seen quite a few Northern Europeans with an Amerindian segment at that same position on chromosome 6.

How often does McDonald change his methods, I mean is there any regularity in it or did you send your data just by chance from time to time...?

The program says 65-75% Orkney or Irish, rest Russian, Finnish, or Lithuanian.

Since we have no Scandinavian comparisons except Finns, this is expected.

The spot on the map is a fews miles south of the southern tip
of Norway ... which is doing quite well.

And the chromosomes show no non-Euro parts. One does see that
from Finns, but rarely in Swedes, and you are one of the very few
Norwegians I have tested.

^^^ You're the only person I've even seen get pure European (or pure anything) on MacDonald's chromosome painting.

Ozrage at ABF was 100% Euro. There is an Englishman there that turned out to be 100% Euro too; just can't seem to remember his username.

I was also pure European on the first chromosome painting I got from Doug.

Well, yeah, I was a bit surprised to find out, since there's not unusual to have at least a little Middle-Eastern segment or something.

I was also pure European on the first chromosome painting I got from Doug.

Why did you get a new one? Have he changed anything in the program he uses?

I don't really know why... Doug is not responding to any of my questions anymore.

I see that he has divided the English and the Irish on the map, instead of simply naming the cluster "Orkney". What exactly happened to the Scandinavian clusters?

That position on chromosome 6 is close to the MHC region which can be quite variable, so I wonder if that has something to do with it? As I already said, I've seen several paintings with admix at that spot from him. It's not always Amerindian either.
