Yes, I think Crimea and Krasnodar kray can be taken as reference. Unmixed Pontids from there are the purest form, they don't resemble kebabs. It will be fair to add Moldova region too.

For me, pure Pontid is a mediterranid variation from Eastern Europe, not resembling MENA people at all.
It can be fair enough for Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, but that's all. Turks can be pure Pontids too, but this kind is Balkan people in fact.
