I find it interesting that even in NW European countries like England when you look at group photos women tend to have more blondes than men.

That is why they are called "the fairer sex".:)

Of the English I'd say the primary types are Nordid (including North Atlantid, Keltic, AS) & Brunn. Secondary type Mediterranean & Alpine influence.

Not sure how to classify the (mostly south Asian) minorities.

a recent study by the UK-biobank found that women do actually have lighter hair than men for genetic reasons.

You think I’ve never heard of Leicester? I’ll have you know I know and take far more interest in the world than your average mammal.

Yes I know you do.:D But what I meant to say was: how would you know so much about Leicester, and in particular this school?

80-90% of the non-blondes would pass in Spain (not considering the South Asians).

And some of the blondes would also pass as less typical, considering that we have the looks of Irene Paredes:

They are not different from Dutch people in terms of hair color. And much brighter than Germans, let alone French.

Really?

Quite different from the French, more pinched/robust faces in general even taking into account their age, much less Alpine influenced. Hair is lighter generally

Yes, but I was merely disputing that they are fairer than even Germans!

I think they are fairer with the exception of Germans from the northern plain, pigmentation is likely fairer.

Yes, definitely. By the way, people tend to overestimate the lightness of Dutch people hair. Even in the North part of NL, people aren't brighter than the Brits of those pics (or little). I spent weeks in Groningen, and there a Norman-Flemish friend with almost white blond hair did not go unnoticed.
Among Germanic-related nations, in terms of hair lightness, I'd say that Dutch and English are together after the Scandinavians. Then come the Germans, Belgians and perhaps some parts of Northern France (but this country has been filled with Italian and Iberian migrants for more than a century, which probably deeply changed the population). Don't know about Swiss and Austrians.

I thought N France was more Polish? remember seeing a lot of east Euro looking types in Lille though they may have just been native subnordids who gave a pseudo Baltic vibe.

Mostly in Nord/Pas de Calais, and even there probably not as numerous as Italians. Pseudo Baltic vibe is indeed common in Northern France (many people think my Norman wife is Russian, although she's more borreby than subnordid).

True, one of the "Russians" in the Rambo 3 film was Belgian, there is a sort of look there that carries across from Russia, even some of the churches in the region have Russian style domes.

I definitely see more pseudo-Slavic types among the French and Belgians than among the British.

Yeah, especially Belgians, most of the Slavic looking French tend to be reduced subnordics and Alpines.
