I speak a little Italian and Spanish and also a very little bit of Welsh and Gaelic, but I am tired of learning new languages. If the Western World fell I would fall with it, I really would have zero patience to learn Mandarin.

I really feel bad for ppl who are forced to learn English for many years in school even though many of them don't need it at all in their lives. Think of all those poor Japanese and Chinese students who are forced by their country's education to learn English when they probably will never use it all in the rest of their lives (if they are not interested in doing something outside of their countries such as foreign business or studying in foreign universities of course).

I highly doubt it. China has already reached its maximum potential. They have zero respect both for human rights and for the environment. While it is horrible from an anthropological point of view, it is excellent from an economic perspective. They are largest industrial park in the world and they can use all their resources (human and natural) to they full extent and they are still where they are.
