I recently found out my mtdna haplogroup is H1ax, I’ve been trying to do some research on the origin and where it is most commonly found but I’ve had no such luck being that it’s suppoosedly rare. Does anyone have any knowledge on this haplogroup? Thanks

Your specific group isn't listed here, but H is a very common mtDNA haplogroup across Europe as a whole. Eupedia is a very good resource for research.
H1a: found throughout Europe / found in Neolithic Spain
H1ae: found in northwest Europe
H1ag: found in northern Europe
H1as: found in central and eastern Europe
H1at: found in northwest Europe
H1au: found in Poland / found in Neolithic Germany
H1av: found in Britain and among the Basques
