Madeiran Portuguese with a Cape Verdean ancestor from the mid 1800s.
IMO it is very odd. She scores NO Iberian at all (and there is an Iberian category) and comes off like a mixture of Italian/Greek and British, plus North African (which they consider part of the larger header "Middle Eastern" on here) and 3% SSA.

Do you suggest that the SSA would be higher??

Her SSA varies depending on the test, it's always there but the percent changes (at least what is consistent is it's always linked to either Senegambia or to SE African Bantu peoples who were the only Africans in Cape Verde). I am wondering why she doesn't score Iberian.

And did she score Iberian in other calcs?

Her Cape Verdean ancestor was from the island with the least African ancestry -- Brava. And she is not mostly Cape Verdean.
People in Brava, CV look like this:

23andme, yes -- like 80%.
Myheritage has the African at 5.1% (Nigerian) and the Iberian as 70.1%.
FTDNA seems to be able to model Iberian with a mixture of SE Europe and Britain.

No. I wouldn't trust it. FTDNA is probably the least reliable.

It's curious that in my case 23andme, Ancestry, FTDNA and My Heritage gave me a very similar DNA, almost the same but being me quite homogeneous probably it's easier by =/= calcs.
Probably FTDNA in this case did which you said, considered the Iberian as SE Europe + British Islands which in my opinion it's something not orthodox, too weird and almost understandable... It's a místery indeed.

Sikeliot if this person tried Gedmatch? It tells us much more.
I'm willing to say that FTDNA really use model with extreme admixtures (SE Euro and British) to model Iberian part. Maybe proportions of SSA confuses alghoritm.

On GEDmatch she can be modeled best as SW Spain + 3 to 5% SSA.
