All 3 nations in BiH.

I think slightly closer to northern Romanians.
I think slightly closer to northern Romanians.
I'm trying to imagine the average aesthetic for each country (easiest to do for Slovenia, IMO).

Slovenians (I checked them, unlike in senior team almost all should be native)

Bosnians (maybe few are from Sandžak idk, majority is surely Bosnian)

Romanians (most should be Romanian, no.10 possibly Gypsy, no idea is there some Magyar among them)

There is stereotype about Bosnians that they have big/massive heads.
In Bosnia there is a lot of Gorids and Balkan Borrebies. Both type have massive heads.
Serbian politician from Republika Srpska Millorad Dodik is pretty typical Bosnian https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milorad_Dodik

Some Bosnians are closer to to Slovenians and some to Romanians autosomally. As whole they are probably closer to Slovenians.
Ford (Bosnian Serb) and Vlatko Vukovic (Bosniak) are closer to Slovenians than to Romanians.
VlachoBosniensis is closer to Romanians. :)

they are probably closest to Moldovans though. I noticed southern and BiH Croats are very close to Moldovans which is weird, because they are very far apart geographically.

I know, many Bosnians are close to Moldavians. Not only Bosnians, but and many other southwestern Slavs (minus Slovenians and Montenegrins).
There was no connection between Bosnians and Moldavians in the last over 1000 years. Their similarity came from similar amount of Slavic and paleo-Balkanic dna and that is coincidence. Of course Bosnians and other southwestern Slavs ploting more western than Moldavians.

I would agree it's a conicidence, even though there is Croat sample plotting more eastern than Moldovans and others very close, same cluster basically

Only northwest Croats (red) are nowhere close to Moldovans, we are much more western population.

According to El Moldavano Dinaric Slavs are close to Moldavians because parts of Vlachs from Dinaric Alps migrated to Moldavia in the middle age and these who stayed turned in Dinaric Slavs.

Well, Vlachs founded Moldova and mixed with Slavs living there, isn't that the story ? Quite similar to majority of SW Slavs, only difference Slavs came down south to found their states and mixed with Vlachs living there.

Dinaric Vlachs were different Vlachs from Romanian and Moldavian one.
Modavian/Romanian Vlachs originated from Thracians and they are/were Eastern Romance speakers. Dinaric Vlach originated from Illyrians and they were Italic Romance speakers.

Several people on forum.hr mentioned possibility Moldavians have White Croatian ancestry. Because Slavs they assimilated were most likely Ruthenians/Rusyn. And they probably originate from White Croats.
Maybe that's where similarity is coming from, at least part of it. Earliest White Croats looks to be located somewhere close to Carpathian mountain range.

Yeah, western Ukraine originally though. I just see Moldovans mention they have Ruthenian ancestry, Ruthenians have White Croat links for sure.

All Romance languages have similarities, even most distant geographically.
If you ask for genetic, I don't know. There is no Romance speakers today in the western Balkans, except few hundreds Istro-Romanians (only 20-30 them still know Istro-Romanian). They are not even native Romance speakers of western Balkans. They came from central or eastern Balkans and they are eastern Romance speakers as Romanians and Aromanians.

Many Serbs, Bosnians and Croatians have Moldavians as a closest population to them. By phenotype, majority of Moldavians are quite different, even the persons with Dinaric traits.

Man, I know for autosomal similarity.
Autosomal closeness is from distant past. Phenotype difference is one the evidences for that.

This is the reason why I said what phenotypically Romanians from Transylvania look most similar to the Bosnians, and maybe a part of Romanians from Oltenia too.
