Hey there.

Is the subgroup of J-Z631 (mostly european) J-Z8429 exclusively jewish?

I found this link: http://jewishdna.net/AB-153.html
It says that Z8429 is jewish, aswell as most of the DNA Results show Ashkenazic origins by name.
Does anybody know more?

The YTree is here: https://www.yfull.com/tree/J-Z8429/

Most of the Results have ashkenazic surnames like Rothschild, Rothman, etc.

Thanks!

What I found in eupedia is that the English astronomer John Field who lived in 16th century belonged to this subclade but he was a Christian.

But somewhere has to be a jewish cluster inside this subgroup I guess.

I looked for it and what I found is that this subclade includes some Jewish but non-Jewish as well. The subclade you are looking for is under j2b. Maybe there is a jewish subclade under j2b not discovered yet but all the known jewish subclades are not under j2b but under the other main clade j2a. Rothchild family and Bernie Sanders (has jewish origin) is under j2a as well.
