She could sing in both Spanish and Yoruba.

Like a slightly darker and rounder version of Celia Cruz. IMO both are examples of Afro-Latinas who don't really look like Afro-Americans.

How much SSA?

They look like Beninese and western Nigerians (Yoruba, mostly) mixed with some European. African Americans have only a very minimal Beninese/Yoruba ancestry and don't have Spanish.

I agree with these.

I think they don't look African American because of both the African and the European sides. Also, Afro-Cuban culture is similar to that of the Yoruba.
