Both variations look distinct from each other, IMO.

Dark Spaniards (forgive me, CV) have their own aesthetic flavor. Same with Dark Italians (forgive me, Jolsonaro).

Same thing with the lighter variation.

There's no such stratification in Spain... If anything, there's a western/eastern variaton. People continually "moorify" Andalusians. And Southern Italians look nothing like Spanish people, Sicilians, Calabrese and such are closer to the Levant.
As to him, I think he's mostly "Atlanto-Baskid" so to speak, with an exotic twist. That "twist" probably comes from his mother:
