Occipital bun is a prominent projection of the occipital bone at the back of the skull. Curvoccipital is a curved occiput.

Thanks. Could you post examples, please?

On the right is a curvoccipital Med skull, compared to a planoccipital Dinaric skull on the left. Very often people with an occipital bun also have a curvoccipital skull. I can't find any good examples of someone with a curvoccipital skull without an occipital bun. Anyhow, "occipital bun" refers to the projection itself, curvoccipital refers to the curve.

Not the best angle, but it looks like he has a curvoccipital skull.
