The first set is a group of councilors from two different cities in Beira Alta: Pinhel and Viseu (NE Portugal). The second one is a group of councilors from Ferol in Galicia (NW Spain).
As usual, check the pictures links for surnames and biographies in case you're interested.

Two medleys of West Meds: neither includes North Shiftedness extending to Nordic types; no overtly Central European aesthetics in either set; as far as comparisons, both sets compare best within a South Eastern tending swathe from the British Isles to Northern Africa and The Levant, and encompassing France, Italy and Greece.

Overall, both sets' aesthetics are, of course, most reminiscent of Iberia.

Nice thread.

These ones looks very very iberian to my eyes. Basically Gracile/Atlanto-Meds:

Portuguese set looks lighter IMO

Portugal: Atlanto-meds, Atlantids, gracile-meds and nordids.

Galicia: Atlanto-meds, gracile-meds, atlantids and one nordid.

The Spanish group has an overall darker appearance with more Med features and curly hair, whereas the Portuguese are mainly Alpine and Berid.

Portuguese group has more Alpines and Nordid influence. Spaniards are overwhelmingly Mediterranid.

This thread is ridiculous, Galicians and Northern Portuguese look almost the same.

This is the City council of Porto, the main city in Northern Portugal. There is nothing nordish about these councillors. As a group they look very mediterranean (of the western variety) and frankly, except a couple of them, they are quite dark/southern shifted.

This thread is hilarious, Galicians and Northern Portuguese look the same.

From all the Spanish regions, Galicians are the only ones who have the most faces I am familiar with in Portugal, unlike Castilla y Leon or Catalonia or Andalusia.

No, not true. Northern Portuguese are noticeably darker than Galicians.

I have been in Oporto few months ago and the differences with Spaniards are considerable. I know Oporto is a bit a multiculti city (lots of niggas, pakis etc) but the ethnic Portuguese are not interchangeable with Spaniards at all.

And yes, they are quite dark.

They look exotic as the other Spanish people (the exception are Galicians as a whole).

Well, half of my family is from Braga (once capital of the Suevi kingdom/Gallaecia), a few miles north of Porto, so I know them better than you, and they don't look, on average, as dark and exotic as your fellows from Castilla y Leon: https://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?279821-City-councilors-of-Zamora-(Castilla-y-Leon-Spain)-state-main-phenotypes-best-pass.

Is this an Intra-Iberian war?

Portuguese and Spaniards are more or less on par in pigmentation. End of story.

Sorry to tell you but yes, North Portuguese are visibly darker (and with strange features) than people from Castilla y León. Everyone that travels to both places will notice the difference in 0´ seconds, and does not matter how much old politicians you post.

Yes, after the Iberian VS Italian war that plague this forum for years... we now have another one: Spanish VS Portuguese: which are darker/lighter and has more/less exotic people?
I think we'll have two new forums very soon: Portuguese Roots and Spanish roots.
Portuguese roots: a forum where Portuguese people darkwash Spaniards and claim that their country has less exotic types than Spain. They'll post exotic/darker than average Spaniards and claim they are the average types.
Spanish roots: same as the above, but the opposite.

CV or Visage Swarthy might create that forum. I don't think we would.

And btw CV, the youtube videos i saw of people from Valladolid were a bit disappointing. Example:

Are they ? The problem with you is that you are almost never able to give an honest opinion. You could be realistic and say that they are more or less similar (wich every body else thinks except you and the user Visâge Gitane who insist that Spaniards are "much lighter").

Compare these two teams (FC Porto vs Liceo Coruña - composed mainly by northern Spaniards - Galicians and Catalans):

Yeah, the Portuguese users usually don't engage in this childish behavior, it's CV when people mean Iberians.
