At least half of their mongoloid is pre-Turkic or pre-Golden Horde. Probably even most of it.
Bulgars founded Bulgaria but how much Mongoloid do modern Bulgarians have? 1-3% or so. The similar amount is in Hungary (Magyars were from the Urals).

3% has to be too much. Somehow though some Hungarians especially Szeklers display Mongoloid features, can it be some atavism / offshoot feature that randomly springs up even because of some minor DNA of this sort?
At least half of their mongoloid is pre-Turkic or pre-Golden Horde. Probably even most of it.
If about half of the mongoloid component came from the Turkic raids after the Oghurs or Golden Horde, they would have carried more Tungus-Altaic compound.

That amount of mongoloid can be frequently found all over Eastern and Central-Eastern Europe. Poles sometimes score 1-2% Siberian, Romanians even more frequently. Serbs do to. It's not like mongoloid traces start to appear only where Russian is spoken (Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, etc.).

Well, modern Volga Tatars have a lot of local Finno-Ugric/Volgaic blood. All of those blonde, blue eyed Tatars. Not to mention haplogroups (90+% are not associated with the Mongols).

According to which study / method / company being used? The last time I checked there were no Polish samples with anything above 1%. I'd take these reasons with a pinch of salt in any case.

It is hard to distinguish Finno-Ugric elements from Turkic elements among Idel-Ural Turkic peoples. Finno-Ugric people have Turkic admixture too, especially Maris influenced by Turkic peoples a lot. Since there is no mediveal Bulgar and proper Golden Horde Kipchak samples from the region either, we can only come up with speculations so far.

Phenotypes have nothing with autosomal genetics.
Also before kypchak migration, most of Tataristan and Bashkirtistan populated by Oghuric folk.Still there are Chuvash pockets in those areas, and Tatar and Bashkir languages have Oghuric substrata.

Eupedia shows something like this, obviously it can be some old data.

As in this revised version it differs. But it's a haplogroup Q so it isn't autosomal data ...

I wouldn't go that far as to say nothing to do with genetics. Of course they do.

The Mari are mostly N + R1a and occasionally I, they have little to no C or O. I doubt Turkic people would have assimilated into Finno-Ugric groups, usually the opposite was the case.

Haplogroups cannot tell much in that regard. All these HGs are found among Turkic peoples too. I didn't say Maris were "assimilated" Turkic people, they seem to be mixed by them a lot and culturally effected too.

And how much S-Indian on HarappaWorld?
Haplogroups cannot tell much in that regard. All these HGs are found among Turkic peoples too. I didn't say Maris were "assimilated" Turkic people, they seem to be mixed by them a lot and culturally effected too.
Well, Turkic peoples can be almost everything. Kumyks are also Turkic speakers, yet they are almost entirely (~95%) North Caucasian.

The HGs you mentioned are even found among Gokturk samples. Appearently it goes lot before the migration to the west.
Same goes for native Caucasians. Chechens can score 4-5% East Euriasan. This brings Kumyks, Balkars and etc. closer to them. This doesn't mean they are genetically 95% Native or something. That's an exaggeration.

The Göktürk samples were less than 50% East Eurasian. As if they were almost half European.

Same applies to all mediveal Turkic peoples. Even Bronze age Siberian cultures like Okunevo were not fully Mongoloid. The existence of Western Eurasian HGs among Turkic peoples are probably thousands of years old. You shouldn't be so quick to call all of it result of "recent" mixing with natives.

Yes, I agree. Medieval Pechenegs and Cumans were even described as white or light-haired.

Euro K15. As if they spoke two different languages. But they didn't. They belonged to one and the same ethnocultural sphere.

Bulgars founded Bulgaria but how much Mongoloid do modern Bulgarians have? 1-3% or so. The similar amount is in Hungary (Magyars were from the Urals).
They get a bit less than 1% East Eurasian on the Eurogenes spreadsheet.

3% has to be too much. Somehow though some Hungarians especially Szeklers display Mongoloid features, can it be some atavism / offshoot feature that randomly springs up even because of some minor DNA of this sort?
Genetic and phenotype are two different thing. For example Nato has a little bit turanid phenotype and his genetic is 100% european.

He does not have any Turanid in his phenotype.

And? So do I (quite so). It is not Turanid on its own (he has hooded eyelids).

This is what i said, hooded eyes not necessarily mean asian ancestry or something.
