How would you divide Europe into an eastern and western half?

The map is supposed to be based mainly on geography not culture, language, genetics, etc.

- Eastern Europe = North-East Europe + Central-East Europe + South-East Europe
- Western Europe = North-West Europe + Central-West Europe + South-West Europe

I generally tried to divide Europe based off of four main geographical features - East Med, West Med, North Sea, and Baltic Sea.

- Eastern Europe = Baltic Sea countries + East Med countries + everything in between
- Western Europe = North Sea countries + West Med countries + everything in between

There are some places that would fit better as EE and others as WE e.g. South Italy and Italy's Adriatic Coast are east of Slovenia, but I didn't divide it from WE because its part of the Italian Peninsula and dividing the peninsula seemed like it make the map look awkward.

I had second thoughts about my previous map, so I made a quick second map of Europe and included most of Italy in E. Europe since I feel its geographically more of an East Med/SE Euro country than a West Med/SW Euro one, but I'll leave both maps up.

pretty much my first thoughts

except greece & finland should belong to eastern part

/austria should have the option to choose its side. if they choose for west,they'd be a medicore country. if they choose the east, they can be a model country :D
