The theory is that these DNA tests that people share online are bullshit. It suffices that more people who have more NA in them take the test and share it. I don't care about these tests at all that people are always sharing and bringing into discussion.
But as you see, the difference in the plots is minimal, so even more prone to bias.

It's a small change and not enough to change phenotype. Also, phenotype and coloring isn't defined by these genetic runs. Most likely everyone on this pic has the same genetic results:

The Spanish set is, of couse, darker, have more exotic people (is the left guy in the first Spanish pic really an ethnic Spaniard), while the Portuguese ones are lighter and absent of atypical types.

I prefer the Spanish one because it is has a very classic look. It is also instantly recognizable as being Spanish.

The Portuguese uniforms while nice and elegant, look more generic, like the uniform that any modern police of a western democracy would typically wear.

I think the Guardia civil's tricornio is up there along with the French Kepi and English Bobby helmet in terms of "iconic" looks.

I don't recall we ever questioning that most Portuguese (such as the ones posted) would not stand out in Spain, but I actually agree with CV about one thing, we definitely don't look so alike has most people think: some Spaniard types (such as some posted here) really don't pass in Portugal and we identify them with being specifically Spanish.

I also think there are some Portuguese specific types, but still, most Portuguese posted on here would easily pass unnoticed in Spain, because the overlap between both human groups is huge.

No one is saying Portuguese are lighter hair and eyed than Poles, the results show the opposite as one might have guessed, also the study values don't have to be taken as exact reality, but what many might not have guessed is the value of skin tone of both sexes compared to Poles.

Now, if anyone is feeling reeeeeally good about dismissing this thing imediately as bullshit, then please, explain to my why should people trust in your stereotypical perception of a population instead of actual statistical data, that shows values between these different parameters can be more unrelated than previously thought.

I don't know if the Portuguese have greater tanning hability than the Spanish, but they certainly have a degree that makes uninformed people think they are naturally dark skinned.
Being able to tan well doesn't make you dark, Scandos can tan very well, especially compared to Irishmen for instance, only Scandos don't have the sun of Southern Europei in the summer.
