Same goes with Lybia, my uncle when Yugoslavia existed, they had an exchange program agreement where Yugos could work in Lybia for some time. He was driving emergency vehicle and was getting a salary that people would kill for, he said the people there had literally everything from goverment ( New houses, high salaries, free health care etc..)

My grandfather used to work in Algeria and he liked it there a lot more than when he worked in Germany. In general very positive opinion about Algeria.
