So, my results came out.

Zero DNA matches and zero info on origins, lol :picard1:, just my luck!

Anyways, apparently I am :

R-M269 > R-L23 > R-Z2103 > R-L584 > R-PF7580 > R-Y19434 > R-A12332

Other downstream participants, on the FTDNA trees, are:

3 from Russian Federation.
2 from Armenia.
1 from Bulgaria.
1 from Albania.

All comments welcome!

Edit: Just saw they update the origins bracket on their block tree. It now shows:

Asia Minor 52.13%
Southeast Europe 38.06%
East Europe 6.79%
Other (3 regions) 3.02%

The guy from Korce is a Vlach it seems and this particular branch is not common among the Albanians.
There is a huge population of Aromanians in Korce.
Your branch is a proto-Thracian as it's shared with Vlachs and Bulgarians.
As for matches, you need to be very lucky to get some.
Hopefully you will get some close match in the future and you will find something more about your recent history of your direct paternal line.

Interesting! It could be either from Thracians or from an Indo-European group of Anatolia. Eupedia connects Armenian R-L584 with Phrygians.

That Armenian cluster is R1b-L584 > PH4150.

Why? I am genuinely interested into what would be the benefits of doing so and spending another 50eu. Also, is it a safe reputable company that you'd entrust your dna stuff with?

I think they can find extra Snps. This is how my blocktree looks like. I was hoping to get upgraded to 700 but nope probably won't happen.

This

+ you will have an access to matches outside the database of FTDNA and more sophisticated Y-STR matching based on low-mutating Y-STRs.

It is safe, I entrusted my two Big Ys there few years ago and know one of the founders.

Of course I wish it was at least half as cheap but I understand that computing power and development cost when you are not backed up by university or other kind of business.
