Genetic relatedness among their reference population samples may be the reason behind this supposed "homogeneity", perhaps?

Well that sucks. It's partly a reason Ancestry has been useless for me because there's nothing specific whatsoever

This dude in my town was exiled from his genetic community and was genetically homeless for a while. It's growing problem.

I feel you man. I don't even get that much. Nothing at all. I get only the regions i.e. Germanic Europe, Eastern Europe and Russia, etc. My wife and kids get Greece, Turkey, and Albania plus my wife gets Italy and a bunch of sub-regions within. My mother gets Germany + the Mid-West USA.

Yeah like all I get is the Greece, Turkey & Albania sub-region and nothing more specific under that. So it's obviously extremely broad! Frustrating

I was wrong, she has only what you have. No details beyond that and nothing specific in Italy at all.
