Anyway, closer to Serbs imo. Serbs/Romanians=Brethren.
Romanians often overlap Serbs and vice versa. Only the most south plotting minority of Romanians overlap with Bulgarians.

Interesting how Serbs/Romanians and Croats/Hungarians overlap each other a lot while being friendly nations at the same time.
it depends on the region..but overall i think closer to bulgarians

I wouldn't say Serbs and Romanians overlap a lot, at least not based on the user pca's I've seen; closest people are still Bosnians and Montenegrins imo. But there is a fair few slightly southern shifted Serbs and slightly northern Shifted Romanians that are very close or plot practically the same

Carpatz made a PCA of his Romanian matches. It's a relatively small sample and I don't know which region they are from, but they seem to be visibly closer to Serbs:

I think the Romanian dot is inaccurate and too south which is probably why few plot there; a lot of the samples had gypsy admix apparently.

no, not true...i plot south of the dot and i get 0% south asia on all calculators...so no..it depends on the region.

It is true. It's been admitted that Romanian samples had a few half gypsies it in. I am not saying every single person who plots south of the dot has south asian, that is obviously absurd. That would make every European south of Romania gypsy which obviously isn't the case. You plot more south cos of more med probably.

I stand corrected. K15 doesn't have south asian in the romanian reference pop.

As I posted on another thread, this person is half Central Romanian (Alba Iulia) and half South-West Romanian (Timișoara) and they get Serbs as a close fit. Central Romanians are probably the best example of the average Romanian and this person is going to be marginally southern shifted than the average Romanian due to being half southern. If they're closer to Serbs than Bulgarians despite being half southern, then I guess the average Romanian should be closer to Serbs.
