Where are the surviving monuments from the NSDAP period? I am aware of the Zeppelin field in Nürnberg. Are there others of interest?

What was the building called? I think it's still intact today but can't remember what it is.

The Zeppelinfeld. It's in Nürnberg. It's part of the socalled Reichsparteitagsgelände (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_party_rally_grounds).

That period was totally kitsch, with a bizarre hint of homoerotism and lasted only 12 years, who cares? Only foreigners obsessed with the stereotype "hollywood" Nazis to my understanding.

The Bendlerblock in Berlin wasn't built in the 30ies, but it's closely connected with the history of WW2, because Von Stauffenberg was executed there.

His last words were: "Es lebe das heilige Deutschland!"
(in opposition to NS Germany, he considered the true nature of Germany to be innocent and expressed this with his the recourse to the Holy Roman Empire of German Nation.)
