The Hungarian Freedom Fight actually won, Hungary was liberated from the Habsburg rule in large parts, but eventually the Kaiser cried for help to the Tsar and thus the Hungarian army was too tired and outnumbered to defeat the Russians also. It was the most heroic 1848 European revolution though, almost lasting for 2 years.
