Do you think pigmentation differences between Northern Europeans and Southern Europeans are exaggerated on anthropological forums?

Well all differences are exaggerated on this forum, but differences are relative and scale relative to differences that do exist. That is necessary for anthropology, Coon would have sucked if he said 'there isn't really much difference between people', it would have been a waste of time.

Lets say hypothetically greeks in one world are black, and in another world they are just belgian looking. The difference between them and irish people is basically the same thing; the largest skin colour distance in europe, and things get adjusted to that scale. Similarly imagine of europeans where all within 1cm of height between one another; suddenly height differences of 2mm are quite significant.

And regarding pigmentation, the main difference is higher frequencies of blondish hair tones and light eyes on Northern Europeans than in southern Europeans (albeit southern Euros also having a decent share of people with blondish hair tones and light eyes), and some higher frequencies of ghostly pale individuals (like Leven Rambin or Conan O'Brian) in Northern Euros than in southern Euros, and that's it.
